I've made a post just like this one at least half a dozen times.

If you come to my journal and can only see this post and my friends-only banner post, that means you are not on my friends list and cannot see my entries.

If you friend me and don't tell me by commenting on the friends-only banner post, I may never find out, and I do not friend anyone back automatically. In other words, if you friend me, tell me who you are and how you found me, or you have no shot at being friended back.

This is very simple to grasp. It is in my userinfo and I'm saying it here again. I just posted this same kind of post a few days ago and already someone friended me without telling me.

This post will disappear within two days.

I just did a pretty major friends-list cut. If you were deleted, you will know by going to my main journal page and not being able to see anything but this entry and my other public one. (Or two...?)

If I deleted you, it is not personal. I deleted people who rarely or never comment and who don't seem to show a great deal of interest in me/my journal.

If you really want to be put back on my friends list, comment on this post before it gets deleted.

i just did a major friends list trim. if you were cut it is because you never comment, barely post, or honestly i don't remember who you are/how we met due largely to lack of commenting.

refresh my main journal page. if you can't see anything but my friends only announcement and this you know you've been cut.

if you care for some reason comment here. i'll give it two days or so.

okay, for those of you who don't know, or don't get it, check it out.

this journal is entirely friends-only.

now, i realize most people notice that, but apparently, some just don't get it and keep friending me without noticing that they can't read my journal, and they don't bother TELLING me they've friended me.

so people, if you friend me, you must let me know -- i don't often check. if you expect to read my journal, you'll have to open your mouths.

i have 142 people listed as friends.

209 people have me listed.

that is a 67 person difference.

don't you people notice YOU NEVER SEE POSTS FROM ME? now you're seeing one. you are seeing it because it is one of like THREE public posts in my journal.

so unless you're a waste of space like __wow_your_ugly -- one of those pointless jackoffs who friend as many people as they can thinking this somehow HAS A POINT when virtually no one friends them BACK -- please comment here or face the reality that there is absolutely no good reason to list me as a friend.

EDIT: thank you to robert_planties and lost_cosmos for informing me that banning users will remove them from my "friends-of" list.

anyone who i don't presently have friended who doesn't comment here and convince me to add them is gone in 48 hours.
